Exploration of the Human Body = Funniest Korean Variety Show I’ve Ever Seen
Sorry, Sorry got me interested in the Suju fandom, but EHB was the one that sealed the deal. What I like about Korean variety shows is their lightness. They’re all very goofy and random. Now, all variety/reality shows are vehicle projects for the stars, but the reason I like Korean ones is that they’re subtle about it. It’s not just close ups and chika — there’s other stuff going on. A lot of other stuff.
For example, EHB is an experiment-based educational program about the way the body works. It showed the boys of Super Junior inhaling laughing gas, eating the world’s hottest chilies, and being chased by police dogs. The best part about it was that it wasn’t a pampapogi project.
In fact, the boys were shown crying from the chilies’ spiciness, getting dunked in water, and wearing all sorts of weird props. The picture above is of Yesung, one of the main vocalists, wearing a device to collect his tears.
Because of this screw-the-idol-image feel of the show, EHB was very fun to watch. And I actually liked them better after seeing their “unattractive” moments and non-idol behavior. For example, I didn’t really lik
And it’s got high re-watching value too! Whenever I’m stressed, I look up their laughing gas episode on Youtube to make myself feel better.
If you haven’t watched EHB yet, you really should. :)
